Whew. Have you ever seen 150,000 fans at one place? That’s what happened at the Bristol Motor Speedway for the Battle at Bristol (if you click this link you can see a few official videos). This is my favorite official promotional video. It gives you an idea of the pre-game.
Mission accomplished for the organizers of the ‘Largest College Football Game Ever’. Ten of us were at the tract for 8 hours and we probably could have arrived 2 hours earlier and found thousands of fans already at the track.
For all the SFOI pictures and videos visit: Battle at Bristol.
These pictures give you an insight into the crowds that surrounded one of our locations all day. There were many conversations held plus all of the passing comments. Most of them were encouraging which means the Saints in the crowd were grateful to hear the Word preached and of course there were a few ‘hecklers’ but nothing unusual.
The good news is these souls were able to hear the Word in the power of the Spirit and as Paul tells us in I Corinthians 1:17-24 the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation and in 2 Corinthians 2:4-5 and 1 Thessalonians 1:5 that our faith rests on the power of God.
These are videos of everyone preaching. Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17).
Peter talks about in 1 Peter 1:23-25, “..for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For,
“All flesh is like grass, And all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, And the flower falls off, 25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word which was preached to you.”
